Experience Summary
With my degree in communications I am very confident in my ability to explain clearly, ideas and lessons. My career has been in sales and design of educational interiors. This role of 20 years has drawn from and strengthened my writing and oral skills. I have four kids ages 8mo, 5, 7, 14. We home school our 14 year old. I am also very involved in our 7 year old's schoolwork and homework.
Teaching Style
I consider myself a 'people-person'. I coached youth sports for 10 years and enjoy working with kids. I am a relaxed, creative and centered teacher. Kids want to learn; in sports, academics and in life in general. They also want to have fun and be excited about it. I believe I make this possible. Our 5 year old is autistic and cognitively delayed. We have been successful at making learning fun, even for her.
