Experience Summary
I am currently a Special Education teacher with Memphis City Schools. I have taught Pre-K through High School for over 15 years. I have tutored disabled and non-disabled students in Elementary, Middle and High schools. My goal is to work with the student gradually building from current learning levels. I will do what I can to bring the student to a more appropriate level recommended in our state for his or her current grade and age.
Teaching Style
As a Special Educator I live off believing that all students can learn something. All students can achieve at something. I believe in support from others because I am no miracle worker, but I believe in support, repetion and dedication in learning. I am a hands on teacher. I use many approaches that will support the learning style of the student. I relate a lot of " real world" senarios to my teaching to help correlate the lesson. I also believe that if a student has the heart to achieve as I have to give him what he needs to achieve, then both of us are going to meet our goal of achievement.
