Experience Summary
Currently, I am a senior at UNR nearing the completion of a nutrition-dietetics major and psychology minor. From a young age, I was driven to exceed academically, which have positively influenced my success in the classroom. Upon completing a rigorous high school schedule(Scholar's Program:detailed list of required AP/honors classes and greater than a 3.5 GPA), I was well prepared for college. I began tutoring in the 6th grade, focusing primarily on math related concepts. Throughout the years, I have continued to instruct various other grade levels in multiple subjects. Personally, I believe my two strongest subjects are math and writing.
Teaching Style
I thoroughly enjoy teaching, especially the satisfaction of watching a student that was previously struggling start to succeed as a result of your time and instruction. I am an extrovert, personable, intelligent, and am not limited to one specific style of teaching. Moreover, having an extensive background in sports(collegiate athlete/captain), I have developed and improved a critical attribute which allows me to personalize my teaching/instruction style based on understanding/knowing how various individuals think. Overall, I want to make an impact by allowing other students to have the opportunity to receive a strong education provided by individuals that care.
