Experience Summary
I have a Master's Degree in Foreign and Second Language Education(TESOL--Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from the Ohio State University, and a Bachelor's Degree in French Language and Literature from Capital University. I am fluent in English and Mandarin, and proficient in French. I have had eight years of experience teaching English to students from different linguistic backgrounds (Mandarin, Japanese, and Portuguese), which not only has enriched my cultural understanding, but also has given me opportunities to learn new languages. Teaching Style
I love teaching and working with children of all ages. The primary focus of my language instruction would be grammar and pronunciation--which is extremely important, because together they build the foundations of any language learning. I will also use games, songs, cultural notes, and stories making fun of the words in the target language to color up my class sessions. And for those who are still young at heart--you are never too old to learn a new language.
