Experience Summary
Having a psychology degree from Dennison University I taught Autistic Children at the May School, a private residential setting on Cape Cod for a year. Following that experience I returned to graduate school to get a masters in Early Childhood Educ, k-3. After graduating I took a long term sub position in the special needs dept of an Elementary school. I then worked a year as a chapter one teacher in a public school system with children with language delays, as well as assisting in IEP preperation. I privately tutored a kindergarten student in reading for one summer.
Teaching Style
Most of my work with delayed or special need students has been a positive reinforcement approach as well as hands on. I am extremely patient, kind and bring out the best in every child. I have a child with disablities so I know that all children are special in their own way. They all have different learning styles. I hope to make a difference in your child's life in making education a positve experience.
