Experience Summary
As an Industrial Engineering graduate of NC A&T State University, I have gained the a great appreciation of mathematical concepts and how they are applied in every industry and everyday life. When I know a subject, I can teach it. I am currently a Graduate student at Stratford University where I am seeking a Masters in Software Engineering.
My professional experience have consisted of volunteer tutoring at the YMCA in Greensboro,NC where I assisted elementary and middle school students in various studies. I have worked for the Department of Defense as a Materials Engineer which consisted of complex algorithms, testing concepts, scientific methods and practices, laboratory experiments and writing detailed reports.
Teaching Style
My teaching style varies according to the individuals. I am aware that people learn differently. I am patient and willing to break down a subject for clear understanding. After teaching, I very interested in the recipient teaching the subject back to me for a asurrance of understanding. Once a clear understanding has been established, students will be able to apply the same concepts to multiple problems to obtain the correct solution.
