Experience Summary
I have always enjoyed both the humanities and sciences. At Virginia Tech, I majored in Philosophy and Minored in Statistics and Business. Since graduation, I have worked primarily in an engineering setting performing statistical analysis and other tasks typically performed by a test & validation engineer. Next fall I am starting a masters program at Northeastern University for Industrial Engineering. I have substitute taught for the Hopkinton Public School system and the Auburn Public School system. I enjoy teaching students of all ages.
Teaching Style
I feel that I excel in putting myself in the student's shoes. By trying to understand their thought process, I can best teach by making sure the student follows the logic of the subject. I have always believed that allowing the student to reach understandings through subtle guidance by the teacher is the best process. This method allows students to retain information better and feel more comfortable with the material.
