Experience Summary
In the last eight years, I have worked diligently in my college coursework to attain two bachelor degrees, BA in Mass Communication and a BA in Criminal Justice. I was driven by my passion for learning new things and desire to be a well-rounded individual. Currently, I am working on my Master of Education degree as an Intervention Specialist for students with Mild to Moderate Needs. Due to my varied background, I am well-versed in reading and literacy and have superior written and verbal communication skills. For the last three years I have tutored students in a variety of subjects; mainly reading and writing and have provided my volunteer skills to several organizations. I also have extensive experience with special needs students.
Teaching Style
I love working with children on every level but especially younger children. I believe all children can grow through proper placement and necessary steps of encouragement. My teaching style is a very hands-on approach with each student. Firm guidelines but a flexible and encouraging environment are what allows a child to develop their talents and their own personal style of learning. I believe teachers need to provide a stable and nuturing place for students to be creative and expressive. I strive to make a difference in all of the children's lives that I touch; I would like to do the same for your child as well.
