Experience Summary
I have worked as a student teaching assistant in private Ivy league boarding schools and I have taught in inner city urban setting. I have also had to the opportunity to take graduate chemistry courses both for credit and audit at University of California-San Diego, and San Diego State University and Tennessee State University. These combined experiences gave me a keen insight into chemistry. My most extensive work has been working on my graduate Thesis work where I used more challenging sciences.
I also have experience in tutoring History and Humanities.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is more socratic. I help students inquire and debate between facts with opposing viewpoints based on asking and answering questions to stimulate critical thinking and to illuminate ideas. This system is not designed to confuse students but to show them a straight way of dealing with axioms therefore not making bad decisions on standardized test. Usually the people that I tutor become leaders in their class thus improving test scores thus reaching their bottom line.
