Experience Summary
I made Dean's Highest Honor for the seven years of my studies. I have BA in Sociology and a graduate of Summa Cum Laude. I also earned a M.ed. in Special Education-Collaborative Teaching K-12. I made the top 1% of class rank. During those year, I tutored, mostly Algebra and Calculus, my classmates and also, taught English at the College of Korean Senior Citizen in Hawaii.
I have practical experiences in special and regular education classrooms at the elementary and middle schools and currently working with students with severe and profound Autism, delivering instructions in small group and one-on-one settings with mostly delivering Individualized Education Programs(IEP) for 11 students.
Teaching Style
My idea of the perfect approach to teaching requires the teacher to inspire learning in addition to just relating the required facts. A certain amount of creativity, enthusiasm, and motivation is required of the teacher. I believe that the effective teacher recognizes and respects individuality, that every child is unique, and has his/her own unique ways and pace in learning. I have a strong conviction that all children can achieve their full potential if their individualism is respected and they are providing with a cooperative learning environment and homelike atmosphere.
