Experience Summary
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in German Language and Literature, from Marquette University. I have traveled throughout Germany and practice my German language skills daily. I believe strongly in attaining language skills to gain a thorough understanding of cultures foreign to our way of life. German, in particular, is the language of the economic powerhouse of the European continent. I take language learning very seriously and naturally convey this enthusiasm to students.
Teaching Style
I like to use a variety of media to enrich my learning experience. This can be adapted to the preferred method of the student. It is a great challenge to get the student to think critically and so I focus on what is of interest to the student, while introducing necessary grammatical concepts. It is not good enough to learn in a rote manner, but rather it is important to organically learn the target language. This will lead to more fluent attainment of the skills necessary to communicate in the target language.
