Experience Summary
I am majoring in psychology and minoring in math. I have interests and excel in both of these areas. I will be graduating my BA degree in Dec 2010 in Psychology Departmental Honor, and a math minor from Georgian Court University. I took 20+ psychology college classes and 6 math college classes (incluing college algebra, Pre-Cal, Cal I, II and III, linear algebra, and discrete mathematics. I am a secretary of Psi Chi, which is the honor society of psychology.
Teaching Style
I am currently tuoring at an Academic Development Center and Student Support Services as a psychology and math tutor. I love sharing my knowledge with others and at the same time, I learn and gain alot from my students. When students come in with questions, I will first ask them what subject is it for, does the teacher give out any guidelines about the assignment, and what difficulties you have with this assignment. If it is math problem, I'll do serveral problems step-by-step with my students. Then, I'll pick a problem that was similiar to the problem that we just worked with, and ask them to do it. If they still have problems, I'll show the steps again one more time until they get it.
