Experience Summary
I graduated from the UCSB with a B.S. in Biochemistry in June, 2010. My willingness to work combined with my academic performance demonstrates my commitment to excellence. My grades are a good indication that I complete tasks with attention to detail and consistent follow through. I have extensive skills from my work in labs and my numerous other courses that are valuable for the available Tutor position, including: Teaching Science, Math, Reading & Numerous Other Subjects, & Working with Diverse Populations. I also have a diverse work background, from a Certified Nursing Assistant to a Ranch Hand to a Teacher's Aide. I'm hardworking, motivated, dependable, and honest. I enjoy a challenge & am always learning.
Teaching Style
I enjoy working with kids (and teenagers), and do so compassionately and patiently. Patience with children is one of my strongest attributes for this position. They find me easy to talk to and relate. This not only enables me to teach them, but also allows us to learn from each other. I believe that children are the future, and each should be given ample opportunity to succeed. It is one of my goals to assist with this. Since graduating, I have felt a great need to give back. I will be a valuable addition to your team.
