Experience Summary
I received my Bachelor's degree from Northern Illinois University and my California teaching credential from California State University Northridge.
I have taught in the classroom and as a tutor for almost 30 years. I have earned numerous teaching awards including Outstanding Math Teacher from the Los Angeles Unified School District.
For 18 years I owned and operated Mathamazement, a learning center, dedicated to providing assistance for students having difficulty in math.
I have written and published two books, "Mathamazement" and "How To Develop Your Child's Gifts and Talents In Math". Additionally I wrote numerous supplemental materials for Prentice Hall and Houghton Mifflin publishers.
Teaching Style
I am an expert in tutoring math, having run my own successful math center for 18 years. My specialties are Pre-Algebra, Algebra I and II, Geometry and Trigonometry.
My strongest teaching tool is my ability to put math into terms that my students understand. You can't teach if you can't break it down. And that's where my successes come from!
After my many years of teaching I have been able to hone my skills and abilities to the level of teaching that makes it fun and easy to learn. There is a lot to be said for teaching experience.
