Experience Summary
I am an accomplished and experienced communications professional. My education, as well as my past achievements demonstrate an ability to combine astute oral and writing skills with an impeccable work ethic and drive for success.
I have earned a BA in Communication Studies and a MSJ in Broadcast Journalism. My academic career provided me with a solid foundation, which has enbaled me to have a successful professional career in the Communication/Media Industry. In the past 10 years I have tutored students in English, Reading and the arts. I have worked with a variety of students from the elementary age to college.
Teaching Style
I absolutely love working with children! I am currently a "Big Sister" in the Youngstown/Mahoning Valley Big Brothers/Big Sisters program. In the past year, I have watched my "Little Sister" evolve from a shy, rebellious 8-year old to an outgoing, well-mannered, A student. I believe the one-on-one time she and I spend together has played a large role in her transformation. I was able to offer to her, the support she needed to succeed. I am eager to help others learn this same lesson of self-value and education.
