Experience Summary
I have earned both a bachelor degree and a master's degree in chemistry and was active in research for many years. Because of the many years I've spent in the research lab and writing papers for the chemical literature, I have gained a working knowledge of chemistry, mathematics and physics and teaching has been a part of every position I have held along the way.
Teaching Style
I treat each student as an individual with individual goals and a unique learning style. My strengths lie in teaching fundamentals and being able to find impediments that get in the way of students’ abilities to learn. I am very patient and believe that everyone is able to learn. It is a matter of helping them to find the key to their own abilities. Along the way to an understanding of the material, my hope is each student becomes better prepared to handle the next difficult subject. A teacher’s hope is that her students will grow enough to make her obsolete.
