Experience Summary
I am a recent graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a BS in Wildlife Conservation Biology. My academic background includes much coursework in biology, chemistry, physics, other sciences, and math. I won a scholarship due to my high GPA in the sciences, and was also a Coastal Fellow - doing a research project with the Audubon Society of Rhode Island and presenting my results in a scientific poster during a special presentation. I graduated With Honors. I have also worked as a teacher and have taught math and science to both high school and middle school students.
Teaching Style
I believe understanding of science and math is essential in today's world. I also believe this understanding is not beyond the grasp of any student, as long as they are given patient instruction, the relevance and importance of the subject is provided, and interest is suitably generated. I believe an educator with passion and enthusiasm for science and math can make a critical difference for a student, and I know I can be that person.
