Experience Summary
I have 40 years of experience applying my scientific education and interest to both solving real world technical problems as an applied physicist and teaching mathematics, physics, computer science and computer programming. For 17 years at the Hewlett Packard Co, I enjoyed teaching technical and computer classes to customers and internal employees while providing on-demand analytical problem solving, debugging and troubleshooting skills to identify and evaluate customer problems for HP’s factory software and instrumentation R&D teams.
Teaching Style
The keys to learning physics and mathematics consist of 1) understanding the general principles, 2) relating the principles to familar experiences and 3) extensive practice applying the principles to problems of increasing difficulty. With my extensive problem-solving experience, it is easy for me to develop interesting scenarios which students can relate to. Then I follow up with relavent problem sets to reinforce the concepts.
