Experience Summary
In having a bachelors degree in Psychology, I have been fortunate enough to have worked at various places, all in which have dealt with constant interaction with people. I have had a great deal of experience substitute teaching children, to waiting on the elderly at a Sunday brunch. My people skills have grown very strong in being able to interact with so many different types of people. In addition to those experiences I will complete requirements for my masters in Psychology and Counseling, which I intend to use to help people with difficult life situations. This can involve things such as trouble with school, fitting in, and self-confidence, all which may be issues that the younger population may face throughout their school years.
Teaching Style
In having a great passion for working with/teaching children, I think that it is immensely important to remember that everyone has a different way of learning. Some ways work better for some as opposed to others. My teaching style is always based around the children that I am teaching. Overall, I have found that there are a lot of students out there that are best able to learn by hands activities and visual cues. While I do find this to be the best method, I am not opposed to trying out new things to help the children learn to the best of their abilities, as I am a very patient and understanding teacher.
