Experience Summary
I hold a PhD in Cell and molecular biology and I am a former Research assistant Professor of biology at Boston University where I carried a productive post-doctoral training in cancer biology, anticancer drug pharmacology and virology. I have been involved in cancer research for more than 10 years, during which, I authored several high impact papers including invited reviews, served as reviewer for international journals and grants, received grant support for my research, and was invited to international conferences. I was able to establish strong collaborative efforts, to publish and secure funding for my ideas and direct independent research. I trained many PhD students and scientists and gave lectures.
Teaching Style
Having lived in three countries with different languages and cultures, my teaching style is now that of a mentor who explains the concept so that it could be understood in its context and also used in global thinking.
