Experience Summary
I have recently earned my associates degree in psychology with Axia College at University of Phoenix. I have been accepted to the University of Phoenix and will be perusing my bachelors degree in psychology. My goal is to attend the University of South Florida's Masters Degree of Counseling program once I have completed my bachelors degree. I would like to achieve a position as a high school guidance counselor and proceed on with my doctorate in psychology. During the last 3 years I have been volunteering at the elementary school my children attend. I have also had 7 plus years in working as a mentor in our church youth program.
Teaching Style
I love working with children of all ages. I believe that each child has a different learning ability. I believe it is important to incorporate fun with the learning experience. I believe that there are two types of learners, hands on and learning through example. I believe it is important that a child feels safe and secure to express him/herself. By providing a healthy and safe environment I believe that the child will be able to excel in their learning abilities. I believe if I can make a difference in the life of just one child that I can consider my life's goal a success.
