Experience Summary
In my three years at Guilford College, I was a TA for only one of them, but I enjoyed my work immensely. I have tutored for classes such as General Chemistry and Chemistry of Recycling. I have also tutored in English while doing volunteer work in China. In my education, I have developed enough skill in mathematics, chemistry and physics that I would be comfortable tutoring at the college sophomore level without preparation
Teaching Style
I enjoy tutoring. To me, tutoring is the act of putting the finishing touches on what the teacher has already done. I prefer to teach by making connections between the things the student has already learned and using that knowledge to reinforce the weaker points. In one on one education, I prefer to tailor my sessions to the individual to better enable them to grasp the concepts.
