Experience Summary
I began tutoring when I was in high school. Students at the top of our class were given the opportunity to assist in a third grade classroom. I carried this newly found passion into my college years and graduate school years where I tutored students in english, math, and science (biology, genetics, chemistry, molecular, microbiology).Fortunately, I have always been a good student and knew what tools were necessary for success. I have a strong science background, and as a forensic scientist am required to teach difficult material in a way that every juror can understand.
Teaching Style
I believe learning how to recognize and prevent mistakes is more beneficial than correcting mistakes. Sometimes principles are misinterpreted and incorrectly applied repeatedly. I not only want to show you or your child how to prevent errors, but I also want to help show you study techniques, ways to stay organized, and time management. Together we can start overcoming any difficult subject matter. I am patient and aware that there are different learning styles. Let's figure out you're best one!
