Experience Summary
I started my college education pursuing a degree in elementary education, therefore I have taken couses in education (curriculm and other related classes). My current degree is in Social Work and I am currently employed as a Substance Abuse counselor with a non-profit agency. I completed my intern in Child Welfare. I have been part of a community mentoring program for over 6 years and have always volunteered for community outreach programs, such as Harlem Enrichment Committee. I am currently pursing my masters degree in psychology. During my mentoring with Project Success, we tutored students with FCAT and math.
Teaching Style
I love working with children. For 3 years I was a high school basketball coach and enjoyed the experience very much. I am patient, kind and considerate. I have lived within my community for over 40 years and have a good to excellent repore within my community. I get involved politically whenever I feel the need to advocate for cause.
