Experience Summary
I hold a B.S. in Mathematics and am currently working on an M.S. in Applied Mathematics. I have over five years experience as a peer tutor at the College level covering a range of subjects including remedial math, CLAST prep, College Algebra, Finite Math, Social Choice Math, Discrete Math, Calculus I-III, Business Calculus, and Differential Equations. I have one year experience as a Middle School Math Teacher, teaching grades 6-8 the district-mandated curriculum for MDCPS, which is focused on preparing students fo FCAT success.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is mathematically minded. I break down concepts of any subject into simple algorithms that are easy to follow, then organize information into easy-to-remember categories. Specifically for mathematics, I have found that hands-on projects assist students in retaining essential concepts necessary for further study, and I have a wealth of resources to help your child learn in the manner best suited for him/her.
