Experience Summary
During my 37 year work career, I participated in the design, construction and operation of various types of energy plants. I graduated Cum Laude from N.C. State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. I also obtained a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Duke University while working full time.
I was a registered professional engineer in North Carolina for over 20 years while actively practicing engineering.
I have very strong capabilities in math, science and general business and most importantly have the ability to translate and communicate the concepts in these areas so that they are easily understandable by students and other non-technical personnel.
Teaching Style
I am a very practical and "hands-on" person and have a strong passion for explaining technical concepts to students so that these are understood and appreciated.
I personally believe that education is the key to success in today's world and that today's students must have a good understanding of math, science and general business.
I use real world, practical examples to help students understand the technical subjects of math and science.
I am very confident that I can assist you in your understanding of math, science and business subjects and I would welcome the opportunity to demonstrate my passion for teaching/tutoring you or your child.
