Experience Summary
I graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in outdoor education. I have worked with students in a variety of settings both in the public schools and in the outdoors. I was a site facilitator at a before and after school program, tutoring 60 children grades K-5. I recently published a book called Light Hearts and Heavy Packs outlining my adventures on the Pacific Crest Trail. I have tutored / mentored in a variety of subjects including English, mathematics, science, etc.
Teaching Style
My style of teaching is extremely flexible. I realize that different students learn in different ways. I strive to find each students individual style and create a unique program to fit their needs. I am patient and creative and love working with children of all ages.
