Experience Summary
As a retired Army Officer, I spent my military career coaching, teaching, and mentoring young adults. My profession was military logistics; my passion is education and teaching. I earned a bachelor's degree in Foreign Language and Literature (focus: French and German) and a master's degree in Adult Education. Both enhanced my professional skills and afforded me the opportunity to teach world wide and at the Army Logistics Management College in Fort Lee, VA. During the last five years, I assisted with the development of Army doctrine at the Command and General Staff College in Fort Leavenworth, KS. Also, I hold multiple military leadership certificates and diplomas including the prestigious Command and General Staff College.
Teaching Style
My master's thesis was on auditory learning and the Theory of Multiple Intelligences. I believe every person can capitalize in learning if they know what type of learner they are. I believe in finding out what types of learning styles work best for an individual and developing strategies to enhance that persons learning potential through use of these strategies. I work on building self image and self esteem as well as academic advancement.
