A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that tutors are most effective as supplements to classroom teaching. It's my job to clear up questions that might not have been answered, or to take the time to explain the fundamental concepts necessary to continue with the material. I also believe that our time together is best served when the student has already attempted some work and comes prepared with specific questions. I'm willing to spend a long time explaining concepts in different ways, and multiple times. I don't mind building off of ideas learned several weeks before in order to ensure the student understands the current material.

I see teaching as a challenge to me. I love to help students and Elderly people. While attending community college and later university in South Carolina, I tutored many fellow classmates. I began tutoring and mentoring students in secondary school and college in Greenville and realized what a powerful difference one can make by setting a positive example and being a good role model. During my four years of college, I have first hand experienced of using computers which include excel, power point, word, some software; such as, C++, Matlab, Minitab and SAS.
