I am a third year college student at Grand Valley State University. I have taken most of the major sciences such as chemistry, physiology and anatomy or micro and genetics. I test out algebra so I didnt have to take college algebra. I took all math classes in high school up to pre- cal. although I have not taken any math classes in college but I am confident that I will be able to help someone out because I tutor my cousin and sister all the time. My sister is a junior in high school and my cousin is a fifth grader.

I worked as a substitute teacher for a charter high school in St. Louis, MO directly out of undergrad. I taught most subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Algebra, History and Language Arts. I recalled my difficulties in learning difficult subjects, my difficulties are not universal but I draw from them in finding what is blocking the student from grasping certain concepts. I recall teaching my children at a very early age the concept of ratios. I used windows, tiles from the kitchen, a pizza pie etc. This, before going to pencil and paper and it worked.
