I am graduated from D. I. Mendeleev in Moscow, Russia. I have earned a MS in Electrical Engineering which enabled me to gain understanding in many areas of math and science. I am specialized in the area of Information Systems with extensive working experience since 1990. Few years ago I taught Network Operating Systems class at Strayer University and about a year ago I started tutoring Math in a Math lab for PGCC. This includes a set of math courses that includes all the courses offered by PGG. In addition, the last semester I was a Math adjunct. I taught College Algebra.

A Little Bit About Me...

Dedicated, patient, caring and knowledgeable are all the characteristcs that I would want in a tutor. Those are definitely characteristics that describe me. I have worked with children for the past 12 years in settings from private, public and special needs population. I enjoy working with children and teaching. I believe in providing a positive and comfortable setting for children to learn and in that setting students can reach their full potential.
Over the last 12 years I have taught children in most settings. I also have experience tutoring adults in math. My current job is working with children who have cognitive disabilities and supporting their families. Having been devoted to the welfare of children and families and valuing education highly throughout my life, I find tutoring a satisfying occupation. After vounteering my services for many years, I attained formal degrees in education, psychology, and counseling, with very high GPAs. I taught psychology and sociology for several years and have also tutored K-college individually and in groups for many years.
Recognizing that each person has his/her own learning style, I emphasize "application" of material learned. I do this primarily by providing examples of information taught and require my students to do the same.
