A Little Bit About Me...

I believe in earning the trust of my students before I'm able to teach them. I earn their trust by trying to understand who they are and what interests them. After learning as much as I can about my students, I tell them a little about myself: what I like to do, where I grew up, and some of my accomplishments. As time passes, I use my life and teaching experience to help my students understand concepts, principals, and procedures. Example: I like to encourage my students to make illustrations, diagrams, and charts to help them understand fractions, human anatomy, or English compostion. A Little Bit About Me...

I would say that my teaching style varies depending onthe person I am teaching. There are several ways that people respond to in order for them to understand. I thik that everyone has a unique teaching style but still needs to be flexible in order to help the student understand.
I have been at Fccj for a little over two years. I have studied and mastered a variety of subjects. I am starting JU next summer to earn my BSN. I currently have my AA degree in nursing.I've spent a lot of time in the student life and leadership department that works one on one with students to help them with college success.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have volunteered for United Way as a mentor for 1.5 years and a tutor for the Sulzbacher center for a semester and a half for the Jacksonville area in Florida. I have enjoyed encouraging them to see a subject that they have no interest in in a new way. It is a joy to see them learn from that subject and improve in academics.
I have bachelor degree in BS in Biology from State University of West Georgia and Masters of Public Health from Emory University. I have obtained experience in math, science and report writing. I have experience in writing essays and technical reports.
