I look at each student as an individual. I think it is important to determine which teaching style works for that person. I would use this information to choose the best method for each student. I think it is important to make learning fun at every age. Education should not be a chore but something to embrace. It would be one of my goals to limit fears or mental blocks that a student may have because they think they can't do it. I would focus on each students potential for success.
I have worked with children age 0 to 17 over the years. I tutored my daughters friends when she was in High School in History and some English especially literacy. My primary experience is with preschoolers but I have also been a day camp counselor for 3rd graders, a Girl scout Cadette leader and volunteered at the teen center.

Everyone has style of teaching that is unique. Mine is at first appearance very laid back, but on closer inspection is very powerful and extremely effective in the long run. My strategy as a teacher is to study and assess a student first, then to develop a plan with the student regarding how we should approach a task or problem.
