My comments on tutoring Reading : I hold a Master's degree in special education and am experienced as a K-5 special education teacher in all areas of reading. I am certified by the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators as an Orton-Gillingham Classroom Educator. Orton-Gillingham is a multisensory literacy approach that includes explicit instruction in phonemic awareness, reading, spelling, and writing. I double-majored in biology in chemistry in undergrad, so the field of science and medicine is my first love and my strength.
