I have experience in painting in a multitude of mediums, various paints, and materials. I enjoy working with acrylics and watercolor. My first job right after turning 16 was working as a photographer and journalist for the local newspaper in my hometown. My main job was working with the teen section; GeneratioNext asking questions, taking polls, and writing articles that were teen related to teen issues, college and continuing education, and career goals. Throughout my junior high school and high school years I worked closely with the editor of the school newspaper as a writer, and with the yearbook committee taking classes in journalism and photography. I earned a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Plymouth State in New Hampshire in 1975. I have 16 years teaching experience at the elementary level teaching 5 years of 2nd grade, 8 years of 4th grade, 1 year of 5th grade, 1 year of 1st grade, and 1 year of 5/6 Language Arts and Science Resource teacher experience. I also taught 1 year at the Junior High level teaching 8th grade Pre-Algebra. I love teaching because of the difference it makes in a child's life. I am easy to get along with and have a great sense of humor. I will apply all learning styles possible in given circumstances to ensure success and the sense of accomplishment. I am very dedicated to other interests and activities in students lives.
