I am an Elementary Education major at Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska. I have many hours of field experience that I have completed for my education courses. My teaching style is about positive feedback and patience. With my experience in psychology I have found that a calm nurturing environment lends itself to bolstering understanding for children. I believe everyone can learn to read if given the proper phonics curriculum. All students love to learn if you can find the key to their style and desire. I enjoy the "art" of teaching, finding the student's "key", and watching the "lights" come on. I have been blessed to be chosen by several students as the most influential teacher in their academic careers. I have had students in my classroom with various special education labels in both public and private schools, and I have been successful in bringing them up to grade level in math and reading.
