I explain concepts using visual representations as well as numerical/algebraic models. In the years prior to high school I struggled with math but I had a few excellent teachers (my mother included) that lifted my confidence and taught me that I can achieve my goals through perseverance, encouragement and mentoring. I realized that math is simply a step-wise pattern of correctly followed operations.
