Shakespeare is one of my top subjects! Shakespeare is my favorite writer and the reason I was an English major! I know his works, especially my favorite Romeo and Juliet which I know by heart. I also love his sonnets and have attended the Shakespeare Festival's to watch his plays various times.

My name is Katie and I am excessively fond of literature, poetry and especially Shakespeare. When I was 13 years old I saw Romeo and Juliet and have been a literature addict ever since. This is why I am an English major who is now a couple of courses into her Master's literature program. My dream is to one day be a professor of Romanticism Literature. My favorites are Jane Austen, the Brontes' and Shakespeare as well as the romantic poets like (Byron, Keats and Shelly) but nearly having my English degree has introduced me to others as well. My teaching style is probably best suited to high school and college students. Although I successfully helped my own 3 children through their elementary school, high school and college years, my tutoring experience has been with older students. My wife is a Montessori trained teacher so I have absorbed that method for tutoring. Each student must be viewed as an individual to define the areas of weakness and fill them in. It is only when the student understands the basics of a subject that they can build a future in it.
Although I have earned my degree, BS in Psychology, my previous education includes 2 years at St. John's College in Santa Fe, New Mexico and 2 years of Engineering at Oregon State University.
