With an MA in TESOL(Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) I have instructed international students from various cultures and language backgrounds in academic English reading/ writing/grammar classes and listening/speaking courses through an intensive program at the university level. In addition, I have taught courses focused on developing workforce entry skills and successful integration into the local community through building basic life skills. As a placement adviser at Portland State University and currently with Downtown Languages in Eugene, I have taught resume writing, job search strategies, and interviewing skills so that students may increase their opportunities for employment.
