As a high school teacher, I facilitated the instruction of approximately 100 students in Chemistry in accordance with Massachusetts Learning Standards. Developed and implemented course curriculum for the Forensic Science course, including labs featuring gun shot residue testing, urinalysis, and DNA electrophoresis . I love helping people and I love chemistry. I believe in using an inquiry based teaching method. What I like to do is show an example problem and have the student help me work it out by asking them questions related to the problem. Afterwords, I let them try to work a similar type problem. If they have problems then I let them explain to me where they are having trouble and we go from there.
I obtained a bachelors degree in chemistry from Auburn University. When I was at Auburn University I took as many education courses as possible. The most helpful class allowed me to teach a middle school science class once a week. It was a great experience that gave me the opportunity to write lesson plans, set up for labs, and most of all gain teaching experience. I have helped many of my peers with their struggles in chemistry.

My method of mathematical and scientific instruction is based off the Polya style of teaching where the instructor guides their students by questions and reviewing the known information.
