I believe your teaching style cannot be enforced on a student, you need to learn the students learning style and adapt to them. I know the different learning styles of visual, auditory and kinestetic are important to identify with the student to help them achive thier ultimate learning experience. I strive to identify these styles and bring out the best in each student.
I have three children who my wife and I have homeschooled over the past ten years. I have an associates degree of applied science and criminal justice and a bs in interdisciplinary studies with an emphasis area on criminology, sociology and business. As an editor working with young writers and as a college professor teaching students, I have spent most of my adult life passing on writing, communication and reading comprehension skills to young people. I enjoy it. I enjoy it because it matters. Writing is a lifelong skill. The ability to comprehend information and communicate clearly can make the difference in passing a class, getting into college or getting a job.
