A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently an undergraduate student enrolled at Harrisburg University. I will be graduating in December 2010 with a BS in Biotechnology. I have extensive composition skills which I have acquired through writing research papers, laboratory reports, and essays in multiple fields of study. I have a passion for chemistry and am currently working on a biosensor project. I am a hard working, driven student and currently hold a 3.9 GPA. Because of my experience in teaching my own children, I have discovered that no child is too young to learn. Often people will not consider an infant or toddler a "functioning human being" until the child can speak. This is so inaccurate! I taught one of my daughters to read at age four. My teaching style is to engage the student on a personal level through cheerful conversation and sharing of interests, then to assess learning styles, strengths, and challenges. Children perform well when expectations are complimentary to them, and when they are given the tools and nurture to accomplish their dreams.
