I have worked as a Sunday school teacher instructing children ages ten through sixteen. I also taught vacation Bible school during the summers. During my senior year of high school, I mentored a young lady named Olivia Draper with whom I received a $2500.00 scholarship from Champions for Children for college.I also worked as a substitute teacher for Madison County Schools in 2009-2010. I have worked with children one one, whole class instruction with given individualized attention when need. I also have worked with small setting of children at a time. My teaching methods are structured and developed for each individual person. I believe that there are many ways to teach a student. The key to successful teaching is finding out how your student learns; auditory, visual, didactic or with a combination of learning styles. Following my graduation from USM, I had many experiences teaching a variety of children from many cultures. Having taught in a DODDS school in Karlsruhe, Germany I was exposed to the German way of teaching. My first year of teaching was in an inner city school thar offered many challengs. I believe my experience teaching children from diverse backgrounds prepared me to handle any situation in the teaching environment.

I graduated from Delta State University in 1999. My degree was in Biology Education. I began teaching high school science at that time. I am licensed to teach grades 7-12 in the state of Mississippi. The classes I have taught are Science Skills & Reasoning, Biology I & II, Human Anatomy & Physiology, Physical Science, and Chemistry. I currently work at Oakly Training School where I teach all sciences ranging from middle school to G.E.D.
