A Little Bit About Me...

I teach others by first trying to understand the way that person learns best. If I find that one way does not work for that student, I will try a different approach. I have found that many students have an easier time grasping basic understanding by using real life examples to which they can relate. Once a basic understanding is achieved, further learning can begin. I believe it is important for a student to feel they can be honest about their progress and feel comfortable asking questions. I always encourage students when they are on the right track in order to promote self confidence. When students feel smart they are encouraged to reach greater learning levels.

During my college experience at Mercer University, I worked as a student worker in the university's Stetson School of Business and Economics. In this position, I generally handled the office duties at the front main desk. However, my primary duty as one of the student workers was acting as a personal assistant for a professor assigned to me. For the three years I worked, I was assigned to the professor of finance and mostly graded homework assignments and exams.
