For the greater part of my life I have been involved in various facets of education. First I assess exactly what material the child needs to learn and then develop a timeline for reaching the goal. In the initial meeting, I seek to establish interpersonal comfort. If comfortable with his tutor, the child will not hesitate to ask questions if I move ahead too fast. Then I want to assess his present level of attainment and how he learns best. Teaching is what I do. I have found that I have a skill for transferring information to children without them at times even realizing it is happening. I am not a strict disciplinarian but never allowed my classroom to get out of hand even when it was filled with 40+ students. I respect children and their differences.
