Hello my name is Sarah Johnson and I recently moved from California to Colorado. I have tutoring experience from high school to the present day. I currently work with Special Education students in a high school as a 1 on 1 and am going to school for my MA in Special Education. I tutored Algebra and Precalculus in college, as well as tutored elementary reading and math. I have worked with kids for the past 6 years and enjoy doing it every day. I believe that every student has different preferences for how they like to learn. Whether that be visual or hands on. I can develop and give out materials for both. I love to teach one-on-one or in small groups. The greatest moment for me, as a teacher, is what I call the “Aha!” that I see in a student’s eyes when he/she finally understands a troublesome concept. I believe that teaching is about empowering my students to take responsibility for their own learning.
