A Little Bit About Me...

I have taught elementary school in private and public settings, in both New York City and Florida. I taught high school English and Global Studies in New York city. I have worked as a tutor in general subjects for elementary students, as well as for Reading, Language, and Biology for high school anc dollege students. I have always approached a teaching lesson as a learning opportunity. Learning is a fundamental skill. If you don't have your basic fundamentals, your student will have difficulty advancing. So, I always start with basic fundamentals such as; note taking, study skills, and comprehension! All sciences demand the ability to link concepts together. Ex. cells make up tissues, tissues make up organs, organs make up organ systems,etc.....! By understanding the make-up of cellular structures and relating that to tissue functions the students can fully understand a subject. This proves true with all subjects. Throughout my teaching and tutoring career, I have often found that I can help my students achieve beyond what was expected of them.
