I attended several schools to achieve my undergraduate degrees, both of which I worked hard to excel at the University level. Attending graduate school at Binghamton University truly prepared me for academia, requiring many research papers and essays as well as honing my knowledge in psychology, the arts, human development, english, and biology. I have tutored, un-officially, all during my college years, forming study groups to better help my peers, as well as having volunteer positions tutoring in math and english.

As someone who loves history I discovered my passion for helping others understand history. Because of this love I pursued a degree in museum studies. I have over 6 years experience in volunteering my time at history museums in order to educate today's youth about the past.
My teaching style is to draw connections to what the students are trying to learn with what is happening today that they might be interested. I try to tailor my style to the student. Each student I had tutored when I was in college I had basically spoke with them, got to learn what they strong points were, their weaknesses, and areas that needed more base learning. I tailored lesson plans to help fill in their educational gaps, created small weekly assignments, and also helped with their current homework/lesson plan. I believe everyone learns in different ways. Some are more visual, others are more auditory so I tried to not only explain but also show by using whatever tools necessary/applicable (graphs, pictures, charts, etc.)
