Reading is one of my top subjects! I am NYS certified in Literacy (grades 5-12) and English (grades 7-12), although I have several years of experience with children as young as Kindergarten.

Holding active NYS certifications in both English and Literacy has had a tremendous impact on the way I teach. I find myself much better able to engage struggling students. I would explain to the students the rule of grammar in French and the rule of mathematics, set up some problems for them to resolve and this way they have a very good understanding of the subjects and able to perform on the subject independently.
I had volunteered my time to tutored some kids in my neighborhood. This was the time while i was in college. I have tutored the subject of Math 8th grade level and Math in the second grade level. I have volunteered to tutored a friend in college the subject of French at Hunter College. She received a good grade and was happy.
