Individualized learning/teaching for optimal comprehension

I take a hands on material approach to learning/teaching. I feel that young students learn best when they can physically learn, such as through blocks/puzzles/interactive learning devices and other similar approaches. I try to let the student use their hands as much as I can to aid in their learning process. For older students such as my high school students or their college counterparts I use more direct audial teaching and visual teaching styles. Every person learns differently, so I cater my teaching style to each individual learner.
I started tutoring in my teens helping young children with Autism Spectrum Disorders develop English and Math skills as well as speech therapy and public speaking. I tutored my fellow students while attending Carroll Community College in English 101 and 102 as well as Creative Writing. I enjoy kids and want to help them learn as much as possible

I try and take the subject and adapted to the students style of learning when ever possible.
I learned sign language at the Md. school for the Deaf in Columbia Md. I started there out of high school and worked there for 5 years. I've also worked in the medical field as a surgical tech, and a phlebotomist . I've continued to work for people with special needs people., teaching swimming amd water safety. In the year 2013-2015 as a deaf interperter for an autistic -deaf student at a Co. high school.
